When we set out to create a hormone support formula, we wanted to incorporate ingredients that targeted the leading causes of hormone imbalance. We started by researching everything from micronutrient deficiencies to stress. We even went down the rabbit hole of reading study after study, divulging the atrocities of xenoestrogens, or “foreign estrogens.” We’ll discuss more of this further in the blog!

Magnesium

Magnesium is an essential mineral found in the body that is used for more than 300 biochemical reactions; making it crucial for optimal bodily function. In men, magnesium increases free and total testosterone; meanwhile, in women, it is responsible for the healthy balance and production of progesterone, estrogen, and testosterone.

We have specifically chosen Magnesium Bisglycinate because it is well absorbed by the body. Unlike many other forms of magnesium that have a laxative effect, Magnesium Bisglycinate combines with the amino acid, Glycine, which connects to neurotransmitters in the brain, producing a calming effect without disturbing your digestive system.

Zinc

Zinc is the second most abundant trace element in humans and an essential mineral vital to your health. Unfortunately, our bodies are not able to make or store zinc. Because zinc is crucial for immunity, metabolic function, and optimal hormones, it is crucial to ensure that you get proper amounts of zinc daily as to avoid deficiency.

Zinc plays a huge role in men’s and women’s reproductive systems. Studies show zinc is essential for producing testosterone and promotes prostate and sexual health; as well as, fertility. For many women with hormone disorders, zinc has been shown to reduce the symptoms associated with imbalanced hormones and help promote healthy ovulation, has a positive effect on insulin resistance, and eases menstrual cramps.

We have chosen Zinc Chelate BisGlycinate because it is easily absorbed in the body.

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha, also known as Withania Somnifera, is an evergreen shrub native to India and certain parts of Africa. Ashwagandha’s adaptogenic herbal properties have been proven to reduce stress, anxiety, fatigue, and aid in improved sleep and recovery.

Studies show that Ashwagandha increases serum levels of testosterone in men, bringing back a natural balance of hormones. In women, this adaptogenic herb can enhance fertility by balancing the LH and FSH hormones that, when in an imbalanced state, often cause hormonal disorders, reproductive issues, and irregular periods.

Furthermore, we have selected KSM-66 Ashwagandha because it is organic and has the highest form of concentration and potency of this natural root.

DIM

Diindolylmethane, also known as DIM, is a compound found abundantly in cruciferous vegetables. Today, our bodies are under constant attack from toxins leaching into the body through commonly used household products. Many of these products contain xenoestrogens, which are essentially “foreign estrogens” that put our body in a state of confusion and wreak havoc on our hormones and immune system. Studies show that compounds found in cruciferous vegetables, such as DIM, are proven to help the body metabolize these xenoestrogens, which helps the fight against many cancers, reduced immunology, infertility, and various diseases.

DIM aids men and women’s ability to metabolize estrogen, which further helps “unclog” our hormone production and optimize men’s testosterone; as well as, restores a healthy balance of estrogen to progesterone ratio in women.
